[Annual Review 2022]
We're honored to
announce that 2022 is the 16th anniversary of the 06
United Football Club. Since our inception, the club
has grew and committed to promote the sport via
various programs and game events. Despite the
challenges carried over from the pandemic, this year
our adult and youth teams competed in multiple
gaming events, and proudly won five championship
titles.

[The 6th Annual 06 Lunar New Year Cup]
- February 5, 2022 - |
The 6th annual "06 Lunar New
Year Cup" was hosted on Feb 5th at Pier 40 Manhattan.
Despite the night's freezing weather, all the competing
teams (Division of Open / 40+) kept their game spirit on and
battle through the cold. Results, the Hong Kong team winning
4:0 (Open Division), China team winning 4:1 (40+ Division),
and the final win earned by the Hong Kong team of 5:4.

[New Youth Training Program in Downtown Manhattan]

Post a long 2021-22 winter break, our youth training
program resumed on Mar 19th. This year, we
expanded our training program to downtown Manhattan.
In addition to our legacy locations in Queens and
Brooklyn, the expansion enabled more (total of 276)
children to join the club, providing them a
steadfast and safe environment to enjoy and learn
how to play soccer.

[Champion of Gotham Indoor Winter League]

Congrats to our men's team for winning the
championship in the GOTHAM 8v8 indoor winter league.
The weekly competitions took place over a period of
2 months, and the teams were tie and then won the
semi final by penalty kick, then emerged into the
final, winning 3:2.

[Champion of Amoy Cup Open Division]

Our club was honored to host the 2nd AMOY CUP on May
29th along with the AMOY FOOD LTD as title
sponsor. The 8v8 competitions included 14 teams and
210+ registered players. A total of 25 games were
played during the game day and our club won the
champion in the open division and 3rd place in the
40+ division.

[06 Father's Day Soccer Event]

We
hosted our first non-competition event - Father's
Day Soccer Event, this year in the Brooklyn's Sunset
Park (free of charge). All kids and daddies were
invited to join various soccer activities, where
they demonstrate their teamwork, sportsmanship, and
competing capabilities. The event was sponsored by
LAM SHENG KEE, whom provided all of our wonderful
gifts to the participants.

[06 Youth Summer Camp Program]

This
year, the 06 United youth summer camp program
started on Jun 28th. For 8 weeks, the camps were
ran in five locations (Sunset Park, Flushing,
Bayside, Maspeth, Chinatown). The camp's focus
continued to be offering our children a safe and
supportive environment to learn how to play soccer
and exercise, but more importantly helped increased
their communication, teamwork and collaboration
skill sets. This year, we were proud to have 143
children joined our camps across 5 locations in
total. it is noteworthy to highlight that a group of
children was awarded the 'Excellent Player' title.
The awards were given based on how each child
showcased his / her dedication as they progress
through the 8 weeks program.

[Machine Youth Cup]

|
The
Machine Youth Cup was suspended for 3 years due to
the Covid pandemic. We were honored to resume the
tournament in Queens Maspeth this year and invited
multiple youth teams across NYC and Long Island to
participate (3 age divisions - U11, U13, and U15).
Our club won the champion in the U11 and U15, while
the UEAA won 1st place in the U13 division.

[06 Youth Internal Tournament]

Our 5th annual Youth Internal Tournament was held on
Sep 18th in our new larger location at Maspeth
Queens. Over 200 youth members were played in 19
various teams, and Brooklyn was our winner this
year! Brooklyn won 1st place in division of
U11(D1)、U11(D2)、U14、U16, while Queens won 1st place
in U9.

[Popeye's Charitable Cup]

The first "Popeye's
Charitable Cup" was held this year with 4 teams
participated. We're proud that our club's Brooklyn
youth coaches team won the championship!

[The 4th Machine Cup]

2022
- |
This
year, the Machine Cup was held on Oct 9th. A
total of 6 teams participated (new rule - must
include three 40+ players) in the event. Despite a
minor dispute between individual players during the
day, the game successfully ended with Tien Chi FC
winning 1st place, and Metrotech08 winning 2nd
place. In addition, our club's No.10 player (Chun Ho
Ng) won "Goal of the tournament" award for the event with a mid-field spectacular kick!

[The 10th 06 Adult Internal Cup]

Our
10th annual adult internal tournament was held on
Nov 12th at Pier 40 Manhattan. This year, we
invited our U18 youth team to participate. The final
game was a fierce competition between Team C (led by
Yong Shi) and D (led by Arthur Ngai), with team D
winning the title at the end. King Yeung Wong was
awarded MVP of the game.

[06 Youth Winter Camp in Chinatown & Maspeth]

During the winter of 2022-2023, the club expanded
our winter soccer camp program to Queens in addition
to our Chinatown location. The camp will last for 3
months and runs every Saturday, offering children a
great venue to exercise and continue practicing the
sport during the cold season.

[06 Annual Gala and 2022 Winners]

To
celebrate our club's achievements in 2022 and the
upcoming holidays, we hosted our annual party on Dec
10th. In addition to all the fantastic
performances, games and gifts sharing, we
distributed awards to all of our volunteer workers
and coaches who provided tremendous efforts to the
club's achievements this year. Yong Chang Yu and
Victoria Xiao also won our best actor award in the
promotional video contest, posted on various social
media platforms.

At
last, 2022 was a year of changes and transitions
around the world. Despite these instabilities, the
club is proud to say that every player, coach,
volunteer worker, sponsor and venues partners,
contributed to allow the club to innovate and grow
responsibly. The impact of your work is felt not
only by our management team, but also by the
communities where we operate in. We're extra proud
of our continued dedication and commitment to
strengthen our club's inclusive and collaborative
culture and spearheading diversity efforts across
the Asian communities in NYC. Happy Holidays
